Cars aren't jerks

Generally speaking I wouldn't buy an old VW, because even though they are kind of awesome, they're super small and, well, kind of ... "usual."

There is one exception: a 1967 VW 21-window microbus. When Barbara gives birth to quadruplets and baby Milpitas Steel-Lowney needs a way to get to soccer practice, she'll ride in style in this amazing piece of transportation art.

The VW bus is a symbol of hippie-ness and counter-culturability. The earliest two-tone models also have great lines up front, where the chrome meets in a 'V'. And apparently, in wind-tunnel tests the microbus is more aerodynamic than the VW Beetle. !!!

Of course, the kids would all have to sit in the back, as the front provides virtually no protection against front-end collisions. But then again, with a load full of kids and/or camping supplies, we wouldn't be going very fast anyway.

The extra windows of this microbus let in a ton of light and allow kids (at heart?) the ability to stare out at trees and birds and planes whilst dear old dad (not yet) putters through traffic. It also has a sunroof, to really open up the top of the vehicle. With all this light and air, it's practically a convertible!

If I'm lucky, Kelan Jr. will find Nietzsche and will then refuse to speak. He'll actually be able to understand my Masters thesis, though, which is not a bad trade-off.

that's a great 21 window I would love to have one. I am restoring a 1961 VW Double Cab that I hope to have up and running soon.
